And yes, lashes feel more important with age; I never even wore mascara when I was younger. That's something I started to riff on but didn't: Eyes and eyelashes look longer and darker on children (whose heads are smaller and complexion fairer than they will be as adults), so long, dark lashes look like a symbol of youth, even when the lashes haven't changed a bit. That was actually my first knee-jerk reaction to seeing the lashes: that I looked like an aging woman who was trying to look young. But once I "broke them in" they stopped looking so kewpie doll.Autumn Whitefield-Madranohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03379314479257695986noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5689865906513225949.post-44291382190566209832016-01-21T13:06:47.812-05:002016-01-21T13:06:47.812-05:00This was a great read and I can't wait to see ...This was a great read and I can't wait to see the picture! I almost got eyelash extensions after my eye doctor told me to stop using my precious Latisse for a month after we tried everything else to cure an eye irritation. Fortunately (or unfortunately) Latisse was not the culprit so I was able to resume using it after stopping it for a month. During that month though, it was rough! Lashes are super important to me too - given the shape of my eyes (big and round), long fluttery lashes give me the doe-eyed look that's flattering with my eye shape. Also, I noticed as I age long lashes are important because I feel like my eyeballs are slowly sinking back into my head. This may be totally imagined but I feel like they're getting sunken in (they definitely look more tired overall), so long lashes help balance them out and make me look more awake. Anyway, thanks for the very fascinating history of lashes and again, can't wait to see your photo!!The Curatorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15443123040139403867noreply@blogger.com
